Most people called game one of the World Series which saw the St. Louis Cardinals lose 8-1 an “aberration”.
Things were looking murky for the Cards in game two when, after holding a 1-0 lead, David Ortiz hit a 2-run shot off of Michael Wacha which put the Boston Red Sox ahead 2-1.
Then again, in the top of the next inning the Cardinals went up a run after a sacrifice fly from Matt Carpenter that scored two runs, and Carlos Beltran (a guy that basically has a hall of fame resume based off of his damn good career postseason play) added some icing to the cake by batting in Daniel Descalso.
With the Cardinals and Red Sox tied at a game apiece, the Cardinals have a prime opportunity to bust this series open as it shifts to St. Louis for three games in a row. “Pivotal” is the only word I can use to describe these next three games.
