*Almost wrote “five stages of hell” in the title. Because of that, the UFC should name 168’s pay-per-view in December “UFC 168: Five Stages of Hell”. That’s some boss level shit right there, folks. Courtesy of my goddamn incredible mind.

Dana White says Brazil has ‘turned on’ Anderson Silva. And no… no… I don’t mean “turned on” sexually, I mean “turned on” as in shied away from, betrayed and ignored, y’know, after Silva’s loss to Chris Weidman from UFC 162. No shit, Dana. Weidman knocked Silva out in the second round — Silva tried to clown Weidman only to get clowned with a double-thrown backfist that was amateur-like and surprisingly efficient (considering it was a damn knockout!)

I doubt the world’s consensus greatest of all-time AKA Anderson the ‘Spider’ Silva could lose so much cred by losing one fight — especially losing in the way that he did, miscalculating his distance by an inch and got caught by playing his elusive, dangerous tight-rope style that made him the greatest of all-time in the first place. If he loses the rematch, I’ll still heil him as the greatest mixed martial artist ever, career wise, but Weidman’s second win against Anderson would solidify him as the unquestioned Middleweight champion of the UFC.

This is what DW said:

“I was kind of feeling for him coming into Brazil, he was getting a lot of criticism coming here. This is his country. He’s been fucking fighting for this country forever. He goes out and he loses one fight, the way that it went down, and like everybody turns on you. In one fight? After all the things he’s done and all the things he’s accomplished? I’m sure it’s tough to deal with, but he’s handled it like a champ. You don’t ever see Anderson Silva snap or flip out on people. I do, daily, but you don’t see him do it. He always composes himself like a champion and a good dude.”

The only thing that can be said for sure is that nothing wipes the memory of disappointed fans like an impressive win in the rematch.

I’m sure everyone will forgive the UFC’s greatest of all time if he scores a revenge KO.
