I always laugh when people make a big deal about food that contains a ‘simple’ carbohydrate or a ‘complex’ carbohydrate. If a food contains carbs, it doesn’t matter how much fiber is included or what the ingredient makeup is, your body is going to convert it into glucose in the long run.
Many people will become defensive when they are told such things and praise themselves on their healthy hierarchy.
I laugh, heartily.
