The Los Angeles Lakers are down 0-2 to the Dallas Mavericks.
Why? Because they are soft, and asides from Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant, they don’t want to win as badly as the Mavericks.
“How can you say that, Troy?!” I can say that because I’ve watched both games. Especially in game two, the Lakers have missed shots, have been outhustled for rebounds and are incredibly lazy when defending the fast break. The only player that I can praise on the Lakers tonight is Andrew Bynum. That’s it. The rest of the team was red hot garbage.
The Dallas Mavericks have played inspiring basketball. They never gave up in game one and they never let off the accelerator in game two. Dirk Nowitzki is a much better post player now than he was five years ago in 2006 when Dallas was in the Finals. JJ Barea played like an out-of-nowhere Chris Paul. He was getting to the basket at will. The Lakers left Jason Kidd and Jason Terry wide open from 3 multiple times.
Derek Fisher couldn’t help himself to drop the ball and Gasol/Odom couldn’t help but to miss shots and allow the men in blue to attack, attack and attack.
Two more wins for Dallas and the series is over.
By the way, enjoy the upcoming suspension, Ron-Ron (Artest).
