And it’s going to happen over and over again.
An ode to “Dexter”, indeed.
“Has to happen.
Nice night. Y’know, Seattle is a great town. I love the rainy weather, the fans who are still talking about Super Bowl XL, but I’m hungry for something different now: a St. Louis Rams’ sweep of the Seattle Seahawks.”
Enough people are already rioting over the Rams winning the NFC West with an 8-8 record, but the record itself has been a divisional winning record in the past (the San Diego Chargers won the AFC West with an 8-8 record in 2008 and beat the Indianapolis Colts).
If the Seahawks get in, with a 7-9 record as NFC West champs, the world will be flipped upside down and almost every single fan will be crying foul.
Therefore, the Rams will collectively step into the role of Michael C. Hall’s “Dexter Morgan” for one night, going in for the kill and giving the Seahawks what they deserve — to be put down and forced to finish the year at 6-10. Let’s face it: “Dexter” is a serial killer; the Rams, this season, have been serial ‘winners’. They’ve had their “cooling off” periods of losing a couple in a row before striking again.
Tonight’s the night.
