Today is a sad day in the NFL for everyone as we all say goodbye to a hall of fame Head Coach. Bill Walsh. He died today after a long tenured battle with leukemia.

As a longtime diehard St. Louis Rams fan, I can’t help but to tip my cap to one of the greatest offensive minds in NFL history, one of the greatest if not the greatest head coach in NFL history. He guided the 49ers to 3 Super Bowls during his time with the team, and took away many opportunities that the Rams had of winning titles during the 80s, guiding his team to whip the Rams’ asses inside-out. And he did it with class.

I felt a void hearing about the news today; there just simply isn’t enough class acts anymore, just a bunch of inept disgraces (what I associate the NFL of today with) walking around screaming expletives. Over the last 18 years, there have been no other Bill Walsh. And for the rest of humanity, there will be no other Bill Walsh. R.I.P Bill Walsh.

  1. Troy, he not only lived a dignified life but he died with dignity. From what I saw of him towards the end, he was at peace with himself and his contribution to life. He will be missed.
